There is a weekly service held at All Saints church at 11am each Sunday. The service patterns varies to try to accommodate traditional and modern patterns of worship. The usual pattern of worship except for such things as Mothering Sunday and Remembrance Sunday is:

1st Sunday - Family Service

·

2nd Sunday - Parish Communion following Common Worship order 1

·

3rd Sunday - Matins from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer

·

4th Sunday - Parish Communion following Common Worship order 2

·

5th Sunday - Special Service

·

By providing a variety of Eucharistic and Non-Eucharistic services in both modern and traditional language, we hope to encompass everyone’s choice. We have a core congregation who regularly attend all types of service, as well as those who come to the type of service with which they feel most comfortable. The family service is proving very popular with the local people who have young children and we provide refreshments after this service, to which all are welcome to stay.

Due to the pretty rural location of the church and it’s proximity to Braxted Park, All Saints church is a popular venue for weddings. We have an increasing number of young couples who attend the church on a regular basis prior to getting married and their commitment and vitality truly enrich the family of the church week by week.

In addition to all the usual services throughout the year, we hold a number of special services and celebrate all the major church Festivals. These include special services for Rogation Sunday and Harvest Festival to recognise the large farming community within the parish; an annual Bread Dole service – a tradition dating back to the 18
th century; a traditional service of Lessons and Carols in December and a Midnight service on Christmas Eve that is held at 10pm – Midnight in Jerusalem.

Our mission in the future is to take the church to the people on a more regular basis, with services held in the open air at the Cricket Pavilion and even the local pub!!!
