New 11:00am service at Saint Luke’s
Saint Luke’s is the parish church of everyone in Tiptree (and Tolleshunt Knights!). We want to be welcoming and inclusive to all. We want to see our congregation grow – in number and in faith. Newcomers are welcome at any time and our Family Communion service, on the first Sunday of each month, is specially designed to be user-friendly and informal. It is also short, lasting no more than fifty minutes.
Each Sunday the time of our main service is 9:30am. For many people this is convenient, but for some 9:30 on a Sunday morning is a little early! So we are going to introduce a new, later service. On 7th September, and on the first Sunday of each month, Family Communion at 9:30 will be followed by Morning Worship at 11:00.
For newcomers of any age Morning Worship will be even more user-friendly. Instead of being based around Communion it will involve lively, accessible teaching on the Christian faith. Our Sunday Club will meet in the Extension, so that there can be dedicated teaching for adults and children. The service will begin and end with all ages together (with toddlers welcome to remain with parents or carers throughout, if preferred). Morning Worship will also involve modern music and up to date multi-media.
Our first Morning Worship will be on 7 September, at 11:00. We very much look forward to welcoming you. And if you arrive early refreshments will be available in the Extension!
You are always welcome at your parish church. The church is open daily between 9:00am and 5:00pm for private prayer. Our main Sunday services are held at 9:30am, when our Sunday Club also meets in the Church Extension. On the first Sunday of each month the service is an informal Family Communion, for all ages together. A short, reflective service of Holy Communion is held every Thursday at 10:00am, and on the first Sunday of each month at 8:00am.
