There are 11 ladies who arrange the flowers on a regular basis in Church. We all come together at Christmas, Easter and Harvest to decorate the church at these important festivals. Requests for a flower arrangement in memory of a loved one are made from time to time. These are placed by the memorial book. We are not professional arrangers, we just have a love of flowers and enjoy arranging them.
The church has a regular prayer group. Please see Open Door and the notice board for further details.

This annual festival, held during two weeks in June, was set up in 1996 as an extension of the St Luke's Church annual fete, and a number of its events are held in the church and in the church extension. The festival's main aim is to bring the community together through a series of varied events and activities, as many sections and age groups as possible being catered for.
Thus, there is a cream tea for the elderly and housebound, and a teddy bears' picnic for the pre-school toddlers; there are concerts, a quiz night, an evening of drama and another of film; there are organised walks, and an annual guided tour of Tiptree Heath. On the final Sunday afternoon there is a Songs of Praise to which members of RAD (with an interpreter) and Maldon Salvation Army band and members are invited. Hymns are chosen and introduced by representatives of the Tiptree churches and organisations, and the service is followed by a professionally prepared barbecue to which all are invited.
Over the years the sum of £6,750 has been collected during festivals and this has been donated to local charities.
Sadly, due to low attendances during the 2006 festival, there will be no festival in the foreseeable future, although some events may be run independently.
